Tompkins Solutions and Agility Robotics Partner to Advance the Next Generation Warehouse Automation

Tompkins Solutions, a top provider of supply chain consulting and warehouse automation services, has announced a strategic partnership with Agility Robotics, the company behind the industry-leading bipedal Mobile Manipulation Robot (MMR) named Digit. Through this collaboration, Tompkins Solutions will incorporate Agility Robotics' cutting-edge humanoid robot, Digit, into its service offerings, enhancing robotic solutions for warehouse operations.
“We are thrilled to be working with Agility on a number of customer engagements,” said Anders Brown, Chief Executive Officer of Tompkins Solutions. “We very much believe in a future that is full of new and exciting innovations that help advance warehouse operations. And we expect that humanoids and the general class of mobile manipulation robots will be at the forefront of these advancements.”
As part of the partnership, Tompkins Solutions will provide tailored integration services to implement the Digit robot alongside existing warehouse automation systems, improving both operational efficiency and flexibility. The collaboration will also deliver scalable solutions designed to boost productivity while cutting labor costs, particularly in high-demand sectors like ecommerce, retail, and food & beverage. With Digit’s capability to navigate complex environments and perform tasks typically handled by human workers, clients will benefit from greater operational agility.
“Tompkins Solutions’ more than 40 years of experience in supply chain and warehouse automation make them an excellent partner to help businesses implement impactful and advanced robotics solutions, like Digit,” said Peggy Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Agility Robotics. “We are excited to work together with Tompkins to help customers deploy Digit and solve for the critical labor challenges their businesses are experiencing today.”
Tompkins Solutions and Agility Robotics are also partnering with LT Apparel Group, a leading children’s apparel company whose brands include adidas kids, Carhartt kids, and French Toast, a top name in schoolwear. Tompkins has been working with LT Apparel since 2015 to design and build their supply chain and distribution infrastructure. Together, the companies are now launching an initial proof-of-concept to deploy Digit in LT Apparel's new state-of-the-art distribution center in Greensboro, North Carolina, which was designed and built by Tompkins Solutions.
“We have prioritized innovation in everything we have done in our global business over the last 65 years,” said Richard Sutton, Chief Executive Officer of LT Apparel Group.
