Teledyne FLIR Introduces Vue TV128+ Dual-Sensor Payload for SIRAS Professional Drone

Teledyne FLIR, a division of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, has introduced the ITAR-free Vue® TV128+ camera module, a high-performance thermal and visible camera payload designed specifically for the Teledyne FLIR SIRAS™ professional uncrewed aerial system (UAS). The camera offers industry-leading thermal sensitivity, making it ideal for first responder missions and industrial inspections.
The Vue TV128+ series integrates a 128x-zoom, 16MP visible camera with a high-performance 640x512 resolution FLIR Boson®+ thermal camera, housed within a quick-connect gimbal. The Boson+ is an uncooled, longwave infrared (LWIR) thermal camera module with thermal sensitivity of ≤20 mK, delivering superior thermal contrast and sharpness in both day and night conditions.
Like its radiometric predecessor, the Vue TV128+ utilizes Teledyne FLIR’s patented MSX® (Multi-Spectral Dynamic Imaging) technology, which enhances thermal images and improves situational awareness. MSX overlays visible light details onto thermal images in real time, increasing clarity without reducing thermal image quality or transparency, unlike traditional image fusing techniques that merge visible and thermal data.
“With the launch of the Vue TV128+ for the SIRAS drone, we are thrilled to offer an even more advanced dual visible and thermal camera solution for professional UAV pilots,” said Mike Walters, Vice President of Teledyne FLIR. “The enhanced thermal visibility, particularly in low-contrast environments, is an essential tool for inspectors and public safety professionals.”
The Vue TV128+ is IP54-rated, ensuring a rugged design that can withstand challenging environmental conditions. It is suited for a wide range of missions requiring real-time decision support or post-flight analysis, such as industrial and utilities inspections, firefighting, law enforcement, and search and rescue operations.
The Vue TV128+ is available as part of a SIRAS drone bundle, but it can also be purchased separately as a standalone payload option.
