Siemens plans to invest more than $200 million in two new manufacturing facilities in Pendergrass, Georgia, and Grand Prairie, Texas, to expand its production capacity for the electrical infrastructure needed to support the next generation of AI.

The investments are expected to create more than 1,500 jobs and strengthen Siemens’ ability to meet the growing demand for AI-ready data centers. The U.S. expansion is part of Siemens’ broader global capacity growth strategy. In July 2026, the company announced a €300 million investment in its German factories to support the rapid expansion of AI and data center infrastructure.

“For anyone building or operating a data center today, the challenge is simple: scale faster, run reliably and use every watt wisely. Siemens brings together the technology and expertise to help them do it,” said Roland Busch, President and CEO of Siemens AG. “We are present across the AI value chain – from chip design and data center infrastructure to the electrical systems and smart grids that power accelerated computing. With these investments we are strengthening our global leadership in the electrical backbone of AI and helping customers build efficient, resilient, AI-ready data centers.”

The new facilities will manufacture electrical equipment designed to keep AI data centers operating reliably, including systems for power distribution, monitoring, and control in complex, energy-intensive environments. These solutions help customers expand capacity while maintaining reliability, adapting to changing power loads, and improving the efficiency of energy and equipment use. The growing demand for these technologies is already reflected in Siemens’ financial performance. During the first nine months of its current fiscal year, the company reported triple-digit order growth in its data center business, with total orders reaching approximately €6 billion.

“The AI revolution will only scale if the infrastructure around it is efficient, resilient and trusted by the communities it serves. Siemens helps customers build more efficient AI-ready data centers and connect them to the wider energy stack – from power distribution and building technologies to grid software, load and energy management. That is how we help deliver the reliable and affordable power AI requires, while using resources as responsibly as possible,” said Peter Koerte, Member of the Managing Board and CEO of Siemens Smart Infrastructure.

Siemens is playing a role on both sides of the AI expansion by supplying the infrastructure needed to power AI systems while also applying industry-specific AI to real-world engineering and operations. Its industrial AI capabilities integrate software, automation, and digital twins to help customers design, build, and operate complex physical systems with greater efficiency and resilience.
