Salesforce and NVIDIA have announced a strategic partnership to create advanced AI solutions for enterprises, focusing on autonomous agents and interactive avatars. The collaboration will combine the NVIDIA AI platform, which includes accelerated computing and AI software, with the Salesforce Platform and Agentforce to enhance predictive and generative AI workflows. This integration will empower Agentforce agents to deliver new insights and boost productivity for sales, service, marketing, and IT teams, all of which depend on Salesforce CRM as their central hub for customer data.

Enhanced platform collaboration to deliver AI agents


Through the partnership between Salesforce and NVIDIA, organizations will gain access to next-generation AI and data capabilities via the Salesforce Platform and Agentforce, a pioneering toolkit for creating and customizing agents, complete with a collection of pre-built agents. This collaboration will enable Salesforce customers to maximize the value of their AI investments, while also helping them maintain a competitive edge. By integrating Salesforce’s AI-driven predictive and generative technologies with NVIDIA NIM microservices and NVIDIA NeMo for model customization, as part of the NVIDIA AI Enterprise platform, businesses can expect improvements in AI performance and model throughput, boosting productivity and enhancing interactions across various industries.


Use cases include:

  1. Crisis management: In the event of a product recall or service outage, an agent would efficiently handle high volumes of customer inquiries, offering timely and empathetic responses while escalating critical issues to human agents. 
  2. Real-time weather impact for travel and logistics: AI agents could predict and adjust travel or shipping routes based on live weather data, preventing delays and disruptions. They would automatically update the CRM data to inform customers and stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate communication about any expected changes or necessary adjustments to their travel plans or delivery schedules. This proactive approach would enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  3. Real-time customer support resolution: AI agents could instantly provide customers with solutions by pulling relevant CRM information during live avatar chats. For example, if a customer asked for help with an order issue, the agent avatar would access real-time shipping data to resolve the query.

In addition to offering advanced AI features, the collaboration between Salesforce and NVIDIA will enhance AI capabilities by speeding up processing in Salesforce Data Cloud, which unifies and synchronizes structured and unstructured customer data in real time. With Data Cloud's “Zero Copy” capability, Salesforce customers can easily connect to their enterprise data, allowing Agentforce to quickly retrieve, analyze, and act on it. NVIDIA’s full-stack accelerated computing platform will optimize computing resources, resulting in faster insights and improved performance across AI platforms.

Transforming customer and employee interactions with AI-powered avatars


Salesforce and NVIDIA are collaborating to advance AI agent avatars through NVIDIA ACE, a suite of digital human technologies, along with NIM microservices and Agentforce. These AI-driven avatars will provide more engaging, human-like interactions for customers and employees by utilizing multi-modal AI models for speech recognition, text-to-speech conversion, and contextual visual responses. Additionally, companies will have access to NVIDIA’s advanced digital human capabilities through ready-made Agentforce agent experiences and NVIDIA NIM Agent Blueprints, facilitating quick and intuitive agent development and deployment. AI-powered avatars could prove valuable in scenarios such as:


  1. Real-time sales coaching feedback: An AI agent analyzes the conversation and suggests in-the-moment ways to improve engagement, such as product recommendations, correcting potential misstatements, or highlighting key talking points with feedback. The feedback is delivered by a sales agent avatar to demonstrate a better or alternative approach. 
  2. Live event management: AI avatar kiosks manage real-time ticketing, seating, and customer preferences during events, offering instant adjustments to maximize attendance and experience. 
  3. Employee training assistance: On-demand, personalized training avatar assistants for employees would ensure employees receive relevant lessons and coaching in real time during on-the-job training.
