Locus Robotics Achieves CE Certification for High-Payload Vector Robot, Enabling New Possibilities in Flexible Warehouse Automation
17 Jan 2025

Certification integrates Vector into the LocusONE platform, enabling its expansion into European and global markets.

Locus Robotics, a global leader in flexible, AI-powered warehouse automation, has announced that its largest and most versatile mobile robot, the Locus Vector, has achieved CE certification. This milestone highlights Locus’s dedication to innovation and operational excellence, allowing for broader deployments in Europe and other international markets. Powered by the LocusONE™ platform, the Locus Vector boosts warehouse productivity, flexibility, and scalability, enabling businesses to automate complex workflows with exceptional efficiency.

Currently in operation at multiple sites, including leading third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and a top global apparel and footwear retailer in Europe, the Locus Vector demonstrates the company's ability to handle multi-step processes, support larger payloads, and adapt to various order dimensions. This certification strengthens Locus Robotics' leadership in flexible and scalable warehouse automation.

The Locus Vector, powered by LocusONE, complements the existing Locus Origin fleets, enabling customers to expand automation for workflows requiring higher payloads or specialized handling, such as case picking, replenishment, and returns. LocusONE provides real-time fleet optimization, productivity tracking, and integration with third-party systems like WMS and ERP, allowing for scalable expansion and unlimited throughput without needing infrastructure overhauls.

By picking directly from pallets, Locus Vector and Origin eliminate the need for decanting, reducing labor costs and making them ideal for dynamic, high-throughput environments. This flexible automation approach offers advantages over traditional systems like AS/RS and G2P, which struggle with heavier items, complex SKUs, and brownfield applications.

“This CE certification for Locus Vector allows us to extend our flexible warehouse automation solution to more customers globally,” said Denis Niezgoda, Chief Commercial Officer, International, at Locus Robotics. “With its outstanding payload capacity, mobility, and seamless integration into LocusONE, Vector is perfect for automation in industries like 3PL, retail, and healthcare. Customers are already seeing increased flexibility and efficiency when deploying Vector alongside their Locus Origin fleets or as a standalone solution.”

Locus Vector is being used across various industries, such as a UK-based 3PL for wine distribution, automating bottle picking onto mobile pallet dollies, and a leading retailer in Czechia for large-volume replenishment while Origin robots handle picking tasks. The LocusONE platform optimizes these workflows in real-time, improving productivity and operational efficiency.

With the CE certification of Locus Vector, Locus Robotics continues to advance flexible automation to meet the growing global demand for innovative, high-performing solutions.
