KUKA China cooperates with Shenyang Institute of Technology

The partnership features a cooperation agreement between the institute and KUKA China, the establishment of a talent development platform, and the recognition of Shenyang Institute of Technology as a ‘KUKA Authorized Industrial Robotics Institute.’ The opening event saw the participation of notable figures such as Andy Gu, Vice President of the Robotics and Automation Division at Midea Group, Hiki Xu, CEO of KUKA China, Andrew Wang, Product Manager at KUKA China, along with representatives from over 30 top intelligent manufacturing companies, including Foxconn Technology Group and Lingyun Industrial Group.

Cutting-Edge Facilities for Hands-On Learning

The newly established KUKA Academy spans over 8,000 square meters and is equipped with advanced resources such as KUKA standard training systems, a learning factory, and industry simulations for digital twins. This state-of-the-art facility provides students with hands-on experience in robotics and intelligent manufacturing systems, ensuring their academic training is closely aligned with industry needs.


Fostering Talent Through Strategic Partnerships

KUKA China enhances student learning by sending seasoned engineers to impart in-depth knowledge of the latest technologies and strengthen practical skills. With support from KUKA's partner companies, students gain access to valuable internships and career pathways, effectively bridging the gap between education and industry.


Andy Gu highlighted the high-quality collaboration between KUKA China and the Shenyang Institute of Technology, emphasizing its role in supporting China’s transformation into a global leader in advanced manufacturing. Since the partnership began in 2019, 30 students from the institute have joined KUKA China, with many advancing to key technical roles. This collaboration reflects the university’s commitment to fostering innovation and aligning its educational programs with the evolving demands of the manufacturing industry.
