iRobot Introduces Suite of Innovative ROOMBA® Floor Cleaning Robots

iRobot Corp, a leader in consumer robotics, has announced the launch of its latest Roomba® vacuums and 2-in-1 vacuum and mop models. These new devices introduce advanced features, including debris-compacting technology and dual-spinning mop pads designed to handle tough messes with ease.


Marking the most extensive product lineup in the company’s 35-year history, the new Roomba models feature an upgraded design, enhanced technology, and an improved Roomba® Home app for more intuitive control.


“The release of these robots is not just a testament to our ongoing innovation,” said iRobot CEO Gary Cohen. “It reaffirms iRobot’s position as the pioneer in the category, a legacy we established over three decades ago. Our revitalized Research & Development Labs have enabled our world-class engineers and designers to develop these groundbreaking products.”


To simplify customer choices, iRobot has introduced a new product naming system that clearly differentiates each model. The latest Roomba® lineup offers increased suction power, enhanced navigation, and faster mapping with ClearView™ Lidar Navigation. Select models also incorporate PrecisionVision™ AI Technology. Other standout features include automatic carpet detection, object sensing, and avoidance capabilities.


Launching in North America and select European markets on March 18, 2025, the lineup includes:


  1. Roomba® 105 Vac Robot Series – 70x more power-lifting suction*
  2. Roomba® 205 DustCompactor™ Vac Robot & Roomba® 205 DustCompactor™ Combo Robot – Featuring DustCompactor™ technology for long-term debris storage
  3. Roomba® Plus 405 Combo Robot + AutoWash™ Dock – Offers powerful suction, deep scrubbing, and a self-maintaining dock
  4. Roomba® Plus 505 Combo Robot + AutoWash™ Dock – Incorporates PerfectEdge® Technology for thorough corner cleaning and a multi-function dock that empties, washes, heat-dries mop pads, and self-cleans
  5. Designed with modern aesthetics in mind, the new Roombas blend seamlessly into home interiors. “The warm, approachable design ensures these products complement any home décor,” said Insun Hong, iRobot’s Director of Industrial Design.


To support the launch, iRobot is rolling out a comprehensive marketing campaign featuring the tagline, "Roomba. Made for This." The campaign will span television, digital streaming, and social media platforms. The packaging has also been revamped, with key product features prominently displayed to highlight each robot’s unique capabilities.


The new Roomba robots will be available for pre-order on March 18, 2025, via iRobot.com, with retail availability starting March 23, 2025 in select markets.
