iRobot Corp., a leading name in consumer robotics, has introduced the Roomba Combo® 2 Essential and Roomba® Vac 2 Essential robots in North America. These are the first models in iRobot’s budget-friendly Essential series equipped with an AutoEmpty™ dock for automatic dust bin emptying after each cleaning. The new robots offer twice the cleaning power of previous Essential models, feature an upgraded bumper design for smoother navigation, and can recharge and resume during cleaning tasks. Priced at $424.99 on iRobot.com and at select retailers for the Combo model, and $399.99 for the Vac model at select retailers, these robots are packed with user-friendly features, giving customers more time to enjoy what they love.

Roomba Combo® 2 Essential – 2x Cleaning Power1, 60 Days Hands-Free
The Roomba Combo 2 Essential is crafted for simplicity, easy to set up, and comes equipped with all the essential features for keeping floors spotless. It tackles daily messes using a 4-Stage Cleaning System that combines 100% stronger power-lifting suction with a Multi-Surface Bristle Brush, an Edge-Sweeping Brush, and a reusable textured microfiber mop pad. Customers can begin a cleaning mission with a press of a button, a tap in the iRobot Home App, or a quick voice command. The robot uses specialized sensors to navigate precisely in neat rows and, with its sleek design and improved bumper, can smoothly clean around and beneath furniture.
With four levels of suction power and three mopping water levels, the Roomba Combo 2 Essential efficiently cleans different floor types, meeting diverse cleaning needs from light to deep cleans. Users can choose a vacuum-only mode to handle carpets and hard floors simultaneously or move rugs to allow vacuuming and wet mopping in a single pass. The robot can clean for up to 120 minutes on one charge, and when low on battery, it will automatically return to the AutoEmpty dock to recharge, resume, and complete its task.
The AutoEmpty dock ensures hands-free maintenance, allowing customers to forget about vacuuming for up to two months, making it ideal for busy households. After finishing its cleaning job, the Roomba Combo 2 Essential automatically empties its bin into a sealed bag that holds up to 60 days’ worth of dirt and debris. The bag captures particles as small as 0.7 microns and seals itself when full to prevent dust from escaping.
Powered by iRobot OS intelligence, the Roomba Combo 2 Essential adapts to changing schedules. Customers can customize and automate cleaning routines, and the robot can suggest optimal cleaning times based on previous runs. With the 'Clean While I'm Away' feature, the robot begins cleaning when the customer leaves home, delivering a freshly cleaned space without any effort. Clean Map® Reports provide an overview of where the robot has cleaned, showing details like coverage and duration to give customers peace of mind that the job is complete.

For customers in North America, the Roomba® Vac 2 Essential robot is available at select retailers, starting at $399.99. The Roomba Vac 2 Essential offers the same vacuuming power, intelligence, AutoEmpty dock and many of the same features as the Roomba Combo 2 Essential in a vacuum-only package.
