Draganfly Selected by U.S. Army to Supply Flex FPV Drone Systems
6 Oct 2025
Draganfly Inc. (“Draganfly” or the “Company”), a leading developer of advanced drone systems and solutions, has announced that it has been selected by the U.S. Army to supply its Flex FPV drone systems.

Under the initial order, Draganfly will deliver Flex FPV (First Person View) drones engineered for high-performance operations and support the establishment of on-site production of these systems at overseas U.S. Forces facilities. This initiative aims to accelerate deployment and streamline supply-chain timelines. The Company will also provide flight and manufacturing training to Army personnel, ensuring operational self-sufficiency, and will manage logistics to maintain a secure, NDAA-compliant supply chain. This milestone represents an important step toward strengthening drone capabilities near the operational front, reducing logistical risks, and enhancing overall readiness.

Recent military exercises have demonstrated the critical role of FPV drone technology for U.S. forces. During the Swift Response 2025 exercise in Lithuania, paratroopers successfully operated and detonated self-built FPV drones against both dismounted and vehicle-sized autonomous targets. The unit has since established its own drone laboratory dedicated to design, training, and rapid innovation.

In August 2025, the U.S. Army achieved a historic milestone by executing the first-ever air-to-air engagement using an armed FPV drone, underscoring the evolution of modern drone warfare. Draganfly’s Embedded Manufacturing Program and Flex FPV Drone systems directly support this shift toward decentralized, agile innovation and advanced operational capability.

“We are honored to support the U.S. Army as it moves critical drone capabilities closer to front lines,” said Cameron Chell, President & CEO of Draganfly. “By combining advanced Flex FPV Drone systems, embedded manufacturing, training and secure logistics, we are helping reinforce operational agility and sustainment for forward-deployed forces. This helps ensure personnel have the tools, training and capabilities required when and where they need them most.”
