Draganfly and Autonome to Highlight Landmine Route Clearance Technology at Countering Explosives Conference
29 Sep 2025

Draganfly Inc. (“Draganfly” or the “Company”), an award-winning developer of advanced drone solutions and systems, announced its participation in the upcoming Countering Explosives Conference organized by Defence iQ. In collaboration with Autonome Labs, Draganfly will showcase advancements in the M.A.G.I.C. (Mine and Ground Integrated Clearance) system, integrated with Draganfly’s Heavy Lift UAV, aimed at modernizing mine and route clearance operations.

This follows the strategic teaming agreement announced on May 1, 2025, under which Draganfly and Autonome committed to combining Draganfly’s Heavy Lift drone platform with Autonome’s mesh-based M.A.G.I.C. system to deliver scalable, precise, and safe aerial demining solutions. Integration and testing are scheduled for 2025, with pilot deployments anticipated in post-conflict regions later in the year.

“Minefields halt mobility and claim lives. Traditional clearance methods are dangerous, slow, and labor-intensive,” said Cameron Chell, CEO of Draganfly. “Through our work with Autonome Labs, we are demonstrating how M.A.G.I.C., integrated with Draganfly’s Heavy Lift UAV, delivers a cost-efficient, mission-ready solution that safeguards personnel and accelerates operational movement.”

Key Advantages of M.A.G.I.C.:

  1. Enhanced Safety: Operators remain protected while UAVs carry out payload delivery.
  2. Efficiency & Speed: Quick deployment and reloads support faster operational tempo.
  3. Precision & Accuracy: Pinpoint payload placement ensures consistent, reliable results.
  4. Versatility & Adaptability: Scalable for day and night missions across diverse terrain.
  5. GPS-Denied Resilience: Features non-GNSS navigation and live video feeds to command centers.
