DJI unveils its cutting-edge Matrice 4 Series, a compact flagship enterprise drone line designed to revolutionize aerial applications with intelligent multi-sensor capabilities and robust AI-driven performance. Led by the Matrice 4T and Matrice 4E models, this new generation of drones boasts industry-first features such as smart detection technologies and laser marking measurement tools for unparalleled precision and efficiency in various sectors. By harnessing advanced sensing abilities and sophisticated AI computing power, pilots can now benefit from heightened safety, streamlined operations, and an overall elevated flying experience with these game-changing drones.

Advanced Sensors for Precise Day and Night Imaging and Mapping
The DJI Matrice 4T is versatile, catering to industries such as emergency response, public safety, and energy management. Its infrared thermal camera supports High-Res Mode with resolutions up to 1280x1024 pixels, while the NIR Auxiliary Light illuminates distances up to 100 meters. Additionally, the Laser Range Finder measures distances as far as 1,800 meters. Key features include a 24mm wide-angle lens (1/1.3 CMOS, 48MP, f/1.7) and an IR-Cut Filter, delivering clear visuals in both daylight and darkness.

The DJI Matrice 4E is tailored for applications like surveying, mapping, construction, and inspections. Its 24mm wide-angle lens (4/3 CMOS, 20MP, f/2.8-f/11) with a mechanical shutter facilitates rapid aerial surveys with orthophoto and oblique photography capabilities, supporting mapping flight speeds up to 21 meters per second. For medium-range inspections, a 3x optical 70mm telephoto lens (1/1.3 CMOS, 48MP, f/2.8) detects details such as screws and cracks from 10 meters away. For long-range tasks, the 7x 168mm telephoto camera (1/1.5 CMOS, 48MP, f/2.8) captures intricate details from up to 250 meters.

Intelligent Aerial Solutions for Search and Rescue Operations
Equipped with a built-in AI model, the Matrice 4 Series acts as a powerful tool for search and rescue missions, detecting vehicles and vessels even in challenging terrains. The drones support cruise control for consistent-speed searches, allowing pilots to multitask. Using the FlyTo feature, the drones can navigate to a missing person’s last known location, automatically adjusting flight paths and speeds to match environmental conditions.

When integrated with the DJI Pilot 2 app, the Matrice 4 Series displays a real-time map of observed areas based on camera coverage, ensuring no ground is overlooked, even in the absence of clear landmarks. Additionally, the DJI Matrice 4E offers Smart 3D Capture for creating rough models directly on the remote controller. This enables precise mapping routes for measuring irregular structures while displaying virtual space routes and waypoint photos for improved safety and area coverage.

To further enhance AI applications, DJI provides model training tools and a third-party developer certification process, unlocking new possibilities for onboard computing and expanding drone AI capabilities across industries.

Outstanding Imaging in Challenging Environments

The Matrice 4 series introduces significant improvements to night mode, making it ideal for nighttime wildlife monitoring and search and rescue operations. With larger apertures and advanced low-light capabilities, the cameras on both the Matrice 4T and Matrice 4E offer enhanced performance in low-light conditions, including dusk and nighttime. The drones are also equipped with six high-definition low-light fisheye lenses, which greatly improve visual positioning in dim environments. This feature enables automatic obstacle avoidance, intelligent rerouting, and a safe return in urban low-light settings. Additionally, the Matrice 4 series incorporates Electronic Dehazing, which enhances image clarity in fog, haze, or humid conditions, ensuring optimal performance in various operational environments.

Enhanced Accessories for Greater Efficiency and Versatility

The Matrice 4 Series introduces upgraded accessories designed to enhance operational efficiency and adaptability. The DJI AL1 SpotLight offers clear illumination of subjects from up to 100 meters, with both continuous and strobe modes, providing broader coverage in wide-angle settings.


Additionally, the DJI AS1 Speaker delivers powerful sound, broadcasting up to 300 meters and reaching 114 decibels at a distance of 1 meter. To further improve operations, the D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station offers centimeter-level positioning accuracy, extending image transmission through signal relay at higher altitudes, and ensuring high-precision data collection in areas without network coverage. It also has the ability to mark ground control points.


Smarter and Safer Flight Operations for Peace of Mind

The Matrice 4 series is equipped with a built-in DJI RTK module, supporting the extended L5 frequency band and featuring GNSS+Vision Fusion Positioning and Navigation System.


Pilots can take off within 15 seconds during emergencies and update return-to-home points via visual positioning, even without GNSS signals. When connected to the Internet, the remote controller can download terrain obstacle information and offline maps, enabling automatic path planning for obstacle avoidance, assisting pilots in navigating through nighttime or mountainous environments.


Industry-Leading Data Security Measures

DJI prioritizes data privacy, giving customers full control over the use of their data. By default, flight logs, photos, and videos are not synced with DJI. Operators must actively opt-in if they choose to share or store their data on DJI servers, which are hosted on AWS servers in the US, certified as compliant with ISO 27001. For enhanced data security or sensitive missions, Local Data Mode can be enabled to prevent the DJI Pilot 2 flight control app from sending or receiving data over the internet, ensuring that no photos, videos, or flight logs are unintentionally synced with external servers. Personal data provided for account registration is also encrypted with AES-256. Operators can easily delete any shared data via their DJI account or by contacting DJI Support. Since 2017, DJI has regularly subjected its products to third-party security audits and certifications from organizations such as Booz Allen Hamilton, FTI Consulting, and Kivu Consulting.
