The SaaS unicorn has appointed a new CMO, CRO, and CSO to strengthen its go-to-market strategy and drive continued growth in the industry.
ActiveCampaign, a leading marketing automation platform, announced the addition of Amy Kilpatrick as its new Chief Marketing Officer, Carine Roman as Chief Revenue Officer, and Shay Howe as Chief Strategy Officer. These key leadership roles will play a vital part in the company's mission to drive innovation, accelerate growth, and deliver exceptional value to businesses, enabling them to build deeper, more meaningful customer relationships at scale.
Amy Kilpatrick, previously the CMO of Contentful, has joined ActiveCampaign as Chief Marketing Officer. With experience as Vice President of Integrated Marketing at Mailchimp, where she contributed to the company's substantial growth from 2016 to 2021, Kilpatrick has also held marketing leadership positions in the cybersecurity and telecommunications sectors. At ActiveCampaign, she will focus on scaling the brand globally with SMBs.
Carine Roman, who served as Mailchimp's first Chief Customer Officer, has taken on the role of Chief Revenue Officer at ActiveCampaign. During her time at Mailchimp, she built the sales team from scratch, merged customer success and sales under one organization, and developed pre- and post-sales functions. At ActiveCampaign, Roman will focus on expanding efforts for both new and existing business and enhancing the customer experience.
Shay Howe, previously ActiveCampaign's CMO for the past two years, has been appointed Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, he will oversee corporate strategy, new product development, corporate growth, and strategic partnerships. With over seven years at the company, Howe has also led teams in product and design in addition to marketing.
“These leadership appointments mark an exciting new chapter for ActiveCampaign as we continue to scale and innovate. Each of these leaders brings a wealth of experience, proven results, and a deep passion for helping businesses succeed,” said Jason VandeBoom, Founder and CEO of ActiveCampaign. “With Amy Kilpatrick driving our marketing efforts, Carine Roman leading both revenue generation and customer experience, and Shay Howe shaping our strategic direction, we’re driving even greater impact for our customers. I’m confident that their expertise and vision will play a crucial role in our journey to redefine customer experiences and empower businesses to build deeper, more authentic relationships with their customers.”
In the past year, ActiveCampaign has brought on Joy Whinery as Chief Financial Officer, shifted its product focus towards AI, opened new hub locations in Costa Rica and Poland, and acquired OneSend, a toolset designed for franchise, multi-location brands, and reseller agencies.
The additions to the leadership team are set to boost the company's growth by deepening its understanding of customer needs. With a strong dedication to serving customers, these leaders will drive key initiatives that extend ActiveCampaign’s global presence, enhance personalized customer experiences, and accelerate innovation across the platform to better support businesses of all sizes.
