The DSK Conference will take place at the BEXCO Convention Hall on February 26-27, 2025, spanning two days. The keynote speech on the first day will offer insights into the latest trends in the global drone industry and the future of aviation and mobility sectors. This year’s keynote speakers includ e Clinton Heimann, Deputy Minister of the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development from South Africa, who will discuss "South Africa and South Korea: Advancing Drone Markets through Innovation and Regulatory Excellence," focusing on potential drone industry cooperation between South Africa and Korea. Following that, Bo-Hyung Lee, a Senior Researcher at the Korea Aerospace Research Institute and Korea’s first Drone Operations Commander, will explore the convergence of drones and AI from military to civilian applications and discuss the paradigm shifts beyond 2025. This keynote session is expected to provide an in-depth discussion on drone technology innovation, regulatory improvements, and the future development of aviation and mobility industries through AI integration.


On the afternoon of the first day, February 26, two sessions will be held focusing on the use of drone technology for public safety and strategies for global market expansion. First, the "Drones in National Security" session will feature experts from the National Police Agency, the Agency for Defense Development, and Korea Aerospace Industries, who will introduce the use and development of drone technology in public security and defense sectors. The subsequent "Overseas Market and Opportunities" session will feature experts from the World Bank, Drone Life (a U.S. drone industry media platform), and Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development, discussing global trends in the drone market and strategies for Korean drone companies’ international expansion. Hyun Lim, CEO of UVIFY, which became the first Korean drone company to achieve $10 million in exports, will also participate as a speaker to share insights on overseas expansion and business strategies.

On the second day, February 27, the conference will be divided into two tracks.


Track #1 will include sessions on:

▲Drone Commercialization (e.g., Global Issues & Challenges in Drone Commercialization), ▲Drone X Laws, Policy and Technology (e.g., Korea’s Drone/UAM Legislation and International Competitiveness), and

▲Drone X Local to Global Use Cases (e.g., The African Drone Ecosystem).


Track #2 will include sessions on:

▲Drone X AI (e.g., Strategies for Overcoming GPS Jamming Using AI Pilots and Application Cases),

▲Drone X Future Power Sources (e.g., The Future of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Drones), and ▲Drone X Sustainable Aviation (e.g., Aeropropulsion R&D Activities for Sustainable Aviation).

After the main sessions on the second day, “A special briefing on Drone and Anti-Drone Projects by Korea Defense Acquisition Program Administration" will be held. This session will be an open session that presents business expansion opportunities and strategic directions for participants through a government demand-side program briefing.
